John Palminteri
Every day John Palminteri, who feels honored for the recognition, reports news for public radio station KCLU for two hours, then moves over to modern rock KJEE for two more. "Then, I start my full-time job," he laughed, meaning the television reporting he does daily for KEYT. Not enough work ethic for you? He also writes a column called Palminteri Commentary for a Carpinteria weekly, a job he hasn't missed once, no vacation, for 108 straight weeks. Meanwhile, he chases breaking stories. "I sleep with the police band on," he said. "It's not as easy as it looks," though he admits maybe he's got a bit of an addiction to the thrills thing going on. "They've got a 12-step program for everything except what I've got," he said.
